About
Meet Amy.
Founder of Stance. Golfer since age five. Coach by training and by temperament.
Amy has been a golfer since she was five. She played through high school and has spent a lifetime around courses where a woman with a bag still gets asked if she is with someone. Stance is her answer to that.
Her coaching starts with movement because her training does. She has been a Certified Pilates Instructor since 2018 and is TPI Level 1 certified, with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and a background coaching people through change in health and mental health settings. A golf swing is a movement problem and a confidence problem. She coaches both.
The method comes from her own game. Her game problems kept turning out to be body problems: the lost distance, the swing that kept shortening. Two worlds could have helped. Golf professionals taught the swing, and taught it in bodies built like men’s. Movement professionals taught the body and never connected it to the swing. Stance is the practice she built to live in the empty intersection.

How she coaches
Taken seriously from the first swing.
Whether you have played for thirty years or thirty days, the session starts the same way: with respect for the golfer in front of her. You get an assessment, a plan built from it, and coaching that tracks how your body actually moves.
No talking down. No golf-shop folklore. Your questions get straight answers and your game gets a coach who expects it to grow.
The stand
Equal footing, spelled out.
Stance takes a position on the culture and holds it without attacking anyone. They are called forward tees. A woman who plays golf is a golfer, and the qualifier can retire. That is the standard on every surface Stance touches, from coaching sessions to The Forward.
The stand reaches past language. For generations the course has been a networking venue with a scorecard, and the network belonged to men. Stance is built toward fairways that carry women’s careers and women’s friendships the same way. Equal access to the game, and to everything the game opens.

The initial session is a full movement assessment. It starts where you are.
After you book, you’ll get a short intake form to complete.
